Not sure if my enthusiasm carried through but I am fascinated by kataezome. I signed up for a workshop in Kyoto for late August. I’ll probably share the experience here at some point.
The idea that all aspects of these books are handmade including the washi paper and binding feels like a great way to DIY and publish in a small space.
I've probably said this before, but I love learning about new topics through your writing and the art of katazome is now on that list. I felt like you took the readers through your bookstore trips as well, which was so special. I was nervous reading about how customs treated one of the books, but I'm glad it survived the trip!
I honestly believe that I didn't find kataezome, but it found me instead. I am looking forward to giving it a try this summer, and if it's something deemed worthy, I'll be sure to share back here and mail some out.
